Team Captain Spotlight: Mike Elbe served as President of John Wood Community College from 2014 until his retirement in 2022, capping a distinguished 36-year career in higher education. Under his leadership, JWCC earned recognition for innovative academic programs, strategic planning, and strong partnerships with regional business and agricultural leaders. A Camp Point native, Elbe previously held key roles at multiple institutions and was honored with numerous community service awards. He and his wife, Gerri, have three adult children and two grandchildren, and remain actively engaged in the Quincy area.
