Washington Theater Redevelopment & Restoration

The Washington Theater recently celebrated its 100th Anniversay in 2024. A group of dedicated volunteers continues to work toward the redevelopment and restoration of this iconic building located in downtown Quincy, Illinois.  A critical need for the theater is to raise the necessary funds to install heating and air conditioning for the building in order to allow year round access for additional fundraising events. The theater serves as an anchor to the downtown historic district and is located across from the site of one of the Lincoln/Douglas debates.
