Class of 2013! It has been more than a decade since you walked across the stage as proud Quincy High School graduates, ready to take on a world full of change, promise, and possibility. Now, as proud Quincy High School alumni, you have a special opportunity to come together and create a lasting legacy.
By raising $10,000, the Class of 2013 can establish a permanent endowed fund—your Class Circle—to support Quincy Public Schools students for generations to come. This fund will provide essential resources such as technology access, arts and music education, mental health services, athletics, and college and career readiness.
Your Class Circle has not yet been started—but it begins with you. Every gift, no matter the size, lays the foundation for long-term impact and helps ensure future Blue Devils have the tools they need to succeed.
Your senior year at QHS was filled with defining moments. Whether you were performing on stage, leading clubs, earning championships, or showing up for each other in the classroom and beyond, the Class of 2013 left its mark as a group of thinkers, doers, and trailblazers.
And what a year it was. In the world beyond QHS, 2013 was unforgettable. The world mourned the loss of Nelson Mandela, and Pope Francis was elected—becoming the first pontiff from Latin America. Tragedy struck at the Boston Marathon, while resilience and unity defined the aftermath.
Pop culture brought us the Frozen phenomenon and the final season of Breaking Bad. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire ruled the box office, and Beyoncé shocked the world with a surprise album drop. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance sparked endless headlines—and launched “twerk” and “selfie” into everyday vocabulary.
In sports, the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl, the Miami Heat secured another NBA title, and the Boston Red Sox brought home a World Series victory. Andy Murray became the first British man in 77 years to win Wimbledon, and the Chicago Blackhawks took the Stanley Cup in a nail-biting final.
Technologically, 2013 saw the rise of streaming: Netflix debuted House of Cards, changing how we watched TV. The “Harlem Shake” and “What Does the Fox Say?” dominated YouTube, while Instagram selfies and Snapchat streaks defined a new era of communication.
Now, you have the chance to shape what comes next. By contributing to your Class Circle, you’re investing in the students of today and tomorrow—helping ensure that the Quincy High experience continues to thrive for future generations.
By supporting your Class Circle, you celebrate the opportunities and memories that shaped your QHS journey. Let’s show that the Class of 2013 remains united, generous, and committed to empowering the next generation of Blue Devils.
