Class of 2011! It has been more than a decade since the Class of 2011 tossed their caps at Flinn Stadium and stepped into a world that was rapidly changing. Now, as proud Quincy High School alumni, you have a special opportunity to come together and create a lasting legacy.

Your class has the chance to establish a permanent endowed fund—your Class Circle—by raising $10,000. This fund will directly support Quincy Public Schools students for generations to come, providing vital resources in areas such as technology access, arts and music education, mental health support, athletics, and college and career readiness.

Your Class Circle has not yet been started—but it begins with you. Every gift, no matter the size, lays the foundation for long-term impact. Each donation helps build a more equitable and empowering school system for all Blue Devils to thrive.

Your senior year was filled with memories that defined a generation. Whether in classrooms, on athletic fields, through student leadership, or in the arts, the Class of 2011 embodied resilience, creativity, and drive.

The world you graduated into was one of transformation and intensity. In May, U.S. Navy SEALs captured global attention with the successful mission to eliminate Osama bin Laden, closing a major chapter in post-9/11 history. In March, a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami devastated parts of Japan and triggered a nuclear crisis—while across the Arab world, uprisings toppled regimes and called for democracy.

Meanwhile, social movements were rising. Occupy Wall Street emerged as a powerful voice against economic inequality, and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” marked a major milestone for LGBTQ+ rights in the U.S.

Pop culture was just as impactful. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 concluded a beloved saga. Adele’s 21 topped the charts with “Rolling in the Deep.” Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding captured global attention, while viral hits like Rebecca Black’s “Friday” and Charlie Sheen’s “Winning!” moment dominated YouTube and social media.

Technology was evolving rapidly. 2011 saw the debut of Instagram, Siri on the iPhone 4S, and the end of NASA’s space shuttle program. The world passed 7 billion people—and social media became central to how we organized, communicated, and stayed connected.

By supporting your Class Circle, you’re celebrating the opportunities and memories that shaped your QHS journey. Let’s prove that the Class of 2011 remains united, generous, and dedicated to empowering the next generation of Blue Devils.
