Class of 1975! It has been fifty years since you graduated as proud Quincy Blue Devils, stepping into a world undergoing significant change. Now, you have the opportunity to come together once again—not just to reminisce about your shared past, but to build a lasting legacy. Through the Class Circles Challenge, your class can raise $10,000 to establish a permanent endowed fund—your Class Circle—that will support Quincy Public Schools students for generations to come. This fund will provide critical resources for technology access, arts and music education, mental health services, athletics, and college and career readiness—ensuring every Blue Devil has the opportunity to thrive.

Your senior year was marked by unforgettable moments and significant events that shaped both your class and the world. In 1975, the Vietnam War came to a dramatic close with the fall of Saigon on April 30, leading to the evacuation of American personnel and the end of U.S. involvement in the conflict. Domestically, the nation faced economic challenges, including inflation and unemployment, while also witnessing the expansion of civil rights protections through amendments to the Voting Rights Act.

Culturally, 1975 was a landmark year in music. Captain & Tennille's "Love Will Keep Us Together" topped the Billboard charts, while artists like Elton John, Earth, Wind & Fire, and David Bowie released hits that would become timeless classics. The year also saw the rise of disco and the continued popularity of rock, reflecting a diverse and evolving musical landscape.

In cinema, 1975 delivered groundbreaking films that left a lasting impact. Steven Spielberg's Jaws became the first summer blockbuster, redefining movie marketing and audience expectations. Other notable releases included One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which won five Academy Awards, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a comedy that has since achieved cult status.

At Quincy High, the Class of 1975 left an indelible mark through leadership, creativity, and a deep sense of community. Whether on the field, on stage, in the classroom, or through service, your class demonstrated resilience and innovation, helping to shape the culture and traditions that continue to define the Blue Devil experience today.

Now, it's time to channel that same energy and pride. Reach out to your classmates—teammates, artists, student leaders, and lifelong friends—and invite them to be part of this legacy. Every gift, no matter the amount, brings you closer to completing your Class Circle. Progress can be tracked online, with every milestone celebrated along the way. By supporting your Class Circle, you'll help provide today's students with vital resources: access to technology, arts and music programs, athletics, mental health services, and career development opportunities. Your contributions will ensure that the spirit and opportunities you valued in 1975 continue to thrive.

Half a century ago, the Class of 1975 helped shape the heart of Quincy High. Today, you have the chance to carry that spirit forward—uniting in purpose to create a legacy that will uplift future Blue Devils for generations to come.
