The Golden Library is one of 4 branches within the Greater West Central Public Library District (GWCPLD). Golden Head Librarian Shelly Jones & Assistant Librarian Lynda Hoosier are NOT the stereotypical stern, stuffy, strict, shushing Librarians of the past! These two blow that stereotype up like a rocket to outer space. Shelly & Lynda don't just check out or recommend books they freely provide: heavenly hugs, cozy laps, comfy arms, sensational Story Times & popping Playdays, creative crafts, nose wipes, listening ears, pats on the back, educational seeds, loads of laughter, a love of literature, Summer Reading FUN, EXCITEMENT, LOVE in abundance & so much more.

Under Shelly's direction, the Golden Library has grown in leaps & bounds with interactive, engaging educational programs along with amassing upgrades in resources. GWCPLD does a great job in providing for 4 unique rural branch libraries, however funds are always needed to improve & expand offerings for clientele. That's where GOLDEN FRIENDS steps in to provide financial & volunteer support to assist Shelly & Lynda in reaching their community patronage goals. Let's show Shelly & Lynda LIBRARIAN 💖 LOVE with funds to assist them in a free-for-all shopping trip at the "LIBRARIAN'S WAREHOUSE OF DREAMS". A magical place to shop for their Story Time wish list essentials - some people call it Amazon, Scholastic or Usborne Books!

Along with shopping for enriching educational additions to their literary toolbox, let's add funds for Shelly & Lynda to schedule a special Storytime event. Storytime attendees fondly recall the time Lynda wore the heavy & hot Elephant costume just for the children's delight! Only Librarian Lynda was unaware the guest reader (NOT superstar Story Time regular Shelly) was a blowhard who went far too long causing dear Lynda to melt - she must have shed 5 pounds in sweat!

And that is the true story of the lengths the Golden Librarians go to, in creating exciting energetic moments of reading magic within the walls of our local Library.
