Our district proudly serves approximately 80 students with diverse needs. Recently, we made a significant investment in a fenced, handicapped-accessible outdoor playground, giving students a safe and engaging space—when the weather allows.
However, indoor options remain limited. Currently, we have only one small gym, which is shared between multiple programs. At times, up to 2–3 classes must use the space simultaneously, often resulting in emotional stress and challenging behaviors for our studentWe are seeking support to transform an available smaller indoor space into an interactive learning environment. This space would offer sensory, social-emotional, and movement-based experiences that better accommodate our students' needs, especially during inclement weather or when the main gym is in use.
