Board Member Spotlight: Fr. Patrick Smith serves on The Salvation Army Quincy Advisory Board and is an active member of the Social Services Committee, bringing a deep commitment to faith, service, and community care. Since 2010, Fr. Patrick has served as Rector and Dean of St. John’s Parish and Cathedral, guiding his congregation with compassion and leadership grounded in a lifetime of ministry.

With a background that includes campus ministry, church leadership, and founding a youth development organization, Fr. Patrick has long been dedicated to supporting others and strengthening communities. His work aligns closely with The Salvation Army’s mission to meet people where they are and provide hope in times of need.

Fr. Patrick and his wife, Catherine, are also known for their joyful spirit and community involvement—including her memorable win at the 2025 Unmasking the Singer event, when Fr. Patrick joined her on stage in a moment that perfectly captured their enthusiasm and support for the mission. His thoughtful leadership and willingness to serve continue to make a meaningful impact in Quincy.
