The Versailles Growth Committee

The Versailles Growth Committee is a new, energetic, and committed group of people who are dedicated to creating optimism and growth in their small community. Three years ago, the group formed to revitalize their village and give its residents reasons to feel connected and proud of their hometown. 

The VGC began by creating opportunities for people to come together, as in the new block party event, which provides free food and entertainment in the town park. They work to make the village more attractive, having started by painting storefronts of empty buildings along its main road. The VGC is now raising money and volunteers to bring the town’s ballpark back to playing condition, while adding benches and play structures to the park around it. We publish a monthly newsletter to help residents feel connected and get to know more about their neighbors. We have lots of ideas of what we can do to continue the momentum of building a thriving little town. Together, we can do more!
