Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex Inc

For nearly three decades, the Jackson-Lincoln Swimming Complex has been more than a pool — it has been a place where children learn to swim, teens gain their first jobs, and families gather to create lasting summer memories.

Located in Quincy’s northwest community, Jackson-Lincoln was created through the vision of philanthropist William “Bill” Black, who recognized the need for a safe swimming option after witnessing disadvantaged children swimming in the Mississippi River. His vision was carried forward by Ben Bumbry, whose leadership helped bring the complex to life and sustain it for many years.

Today, Jackson-Lincoln continues that legacy under the leadership of Executive Director Marissa Radcliffe — a proud “Jackson-Lincoln Kid” who had her first job at the pool as a teenager and now works to ensure the next generation has the same opportunity.

Because of this history and the continued support of the community, Jackson-Lincoln has remained a place centered around community, family, recreation, and health for more than 27 years.

Today, Jackson-Lincoln continues to serve families across Quincy by providing safe and affordable recreation. Unlike many recreational facilities, we rely heavily on community support, grants, and partnerships to open our gates each season and keep this important space available to everyone.
