$1,000 Goal

Founded in 2021, the Brown County Arts Alliance was created out of a simple but powerful realization: children in Brown County did not have access to formal art education until they reached the high school level. What began as a grassroots effort to create more art opportunities for local youth has since grown into a broader mission to make the arts accessible to all ages across Brown County.

As a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work to bring creativity closer to home in our rural community. Through pop-up art experiences, partnerships with local events, and support of homegrown artists, we strive to make the arts visible, affordable, and woven into everyday life. From hiring local musicians and artists for community celebrations to supporting arts activities at the Mount Sterling Farmers Market and partnering on creative initiatives that foster mental health and emotional well-being, our approach is rooted in community connections.

We recognize that access to the arts strengthens community pride, reduces isolation, and supports mental and emotional well-being. In a rural area where creative opportunities can be limited, we believe everyone deserves a space where they can express themselves, feel inspired, and connect with others.

The Brown County Arts Alliance is committed to growing through partnerships, supporting local artists of all kinds, and fostering an appreciation for the arts across generations. Through grassroots leadership and community collaboration, we are working to ensure that creativity has a lasting and visible place in Brown County.

Mission

The Brown County Arts Alliance is dedicated to promoting and supporting the arts in Brown County.

Vision

Our vision is to encourage creativity and broaden community participation in the arts through exhibitions and programs
for all ages in Brown County.

Values

We believe the arts bring our community to life by nurturing creativity, supporting local artists, inspiring every generation,
promoting well-being, and fostering partnerships that create spaces where everyone feels welcome, connected, and inspired.

A Vision for the Future

We envision a future where Brown County has a dedicated creative space — a place where children can explore art after school, local artists can exhibit their work, families can gather for workshops, and creativity becomes part of daily life. Every donation helps move us one step closer to that future.

At the same time, your support makes an immediate impact. Your donation will help cover essential program costs such as art supplies, materials for hands-on activities, and fair compensation for local artists and instructors who share their talents with our community. By investing in both today’s programming and tomorrow’s vision, you are helping creativity take root and grow right here in Brown County.
