Adams County Suicide Prevention Coalition

A nonprofit organization

The Adams County Suicide Prevention Coalition is composed of human service agencies, health care providers, educational institutions, and concerned citizens.  The Coalition's mission is to prevent the tragedy of suicide by educating the public about suicide and suicide prevention.  The Coalition does this through:

  • PSAs that air on radio/TV and social media
  • A website that provides information on suicide prevention
  • A Facebook page that provides timely information about suicide prevention
  • Speaking to area high school groups, healthcare providers, and community groups
  • Wraps on city transit vehicles that provide the national crisis line number to the public
  • Providing area high school and college students with stickers that have the national crisis line number on them
  • Providing free gun locks to area individuals and groups and urging people to lock their firearms when not in use
  • Sponsoring a support group for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide

We rely on donations from individuals and businesses - it is only through donations that we are                                able to educate the public about suicide and suicide prevention.
