Action Brown County is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic growth, entrepreneurship, and community vitality in Brown County. Through strategic investments, collaborative initiatives, and innovative programming, we empower local residents and businesses to create lasting, positive change.

Our mission is to ignite opportunity by supporting bold ideas and grassroots action. With the support of generous donors, we have launched and sustained a number of impactful programs:

• The Rink – A seasonal recreational hub that brings families and friends together while boosting local tourism and creating a tradition worthy of a holiday movie.  

• Start-Up Business Competition – An biannual event that encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas for a chance to win start-up capital, mentorship, and resources. This program has helped launch several thriving local businesses, strengthening the county’s economic fabric.

• Business Innovation Grant Program – Designed to support existing small businesses looking to expand, pivot, or innovate. These grants provide critical funding for equipment, technology, and other tools that help companies grow and adapt in a changing marketplace.
