Staff Spotlight: Kate Shuker, Fitness Manager for The Salvation Army Kroc Center, has dedicated the past 8 years to serving the Quincy community through health, wellness, and connection. Kate began as the first-ever Les Mills Water-in-Motion aquatics fitness instructor at the Kroc Center, later expanding her role by leading cycling classes before becoming a Kroc Attendant and ultimately working her way up to Fitness Manager.
Today, Kate plays a vital role in creating engaging programs and meaningful community connections. She coordinates the annual Bubble Fun 5K Run, serves as a District Diplomat, and was honored as the 2025 District Volunteer of the Year. Through her work with local businesses and organizations, Kate continues to strengthen partnerships that support the Kroc Center’s mission.
Her leadership is driven by a passion for helping others live healthier, more connected lives—and her impact can be seen in both the programs she leads and the relationships she builds throughout the Quincy community.
