Class of 1969! It has been nearly 56 years since the Class of 1969 graduated from Quincy High School. Back then, we were stepping into a world of change and possibility. We watched in awe as Neil Armstrong took humankind’s first steps on the moon. We listened to the music of Woodstock and the Beatles, and we looked ahead with excitement and hope for what was to come.

Right here in Quincy, we created memories that would last a lifetime—Friday night games, pep rallies, concerts, senior traditions, and the everyday moments in between. Now, as we approach our 55th reunion, we have the opportunity to come together again—not just to reminisce, but to create something meaningful that will benefit generations to come.

This year, we’re launching the Class of 1969 Circle as part of the QPS Foundation’s Class Circles Challenge. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to establish a permanent endowed fund in our class’s name. Once fully funded, this Circle will provide annual support for Quincy Public Schools students in critical areas such as technology, mental health, music and arts education, athletics, and college and career readiness.

This isn’t just a gift—it’s a legacy. It’s our way of saying “thank you” to the school system that shaped us, and “we believe in you” to the students coming up behind us.

The campaign is just beginning, and we need classmates like you to help lead the way. And it’s about more than fundraising—it’s about reconnecting. Reach out to old friends. Share memories. Encourage your classmates to take part. Let’s use this moment to reflect on where we’ve been and to help shape what’s next for Quincy’s students.

Together, we can turn memories into momentum—and our pride into progress. Let’s build the Class of 1969 Circle and continue making a difference, just like we always have.
